Los Ángeles deserves sustainable and safe structures, and to CANCEL OLYMPICS 2028!! We are grieving and do not need to compete with resources being poured into a spectacle that our city can’t sustain.

I grew up on Deodara Dr. near the library, where I worked as a page in high school. I hope that rebuilding will take place responsibly and make space for a multi-ethnic middle class community.

I lived in LA for a time, and many dear friends still reside there. I love that town, and its whole ecosystem. This petition represents a beautiful vision, and I hope redevelopment can happen with respect and equity for people and place.

Please allow those who wish to build with healthier materials to do so. We are tired of living in toxic boxes. It’s time to make the move to more earth and human friendly ways to build. I want to raise my child in a healthy, non-toxic home.

My parents are suffering illness because of the toxins that were burnt in the fire. We need sustainable housing for the future of LA.

I grew up in Topanga, went to high school on Ojai and currently live in Inyokern. I evacuated countless times as a child which made me hyper-vigilent about fire safety at a young age. When I left LA at 21 I specifically chose to live in a county that was not as susceptible to wildfires. Still, Haviland burned in my county. California needed to address climate safety and fire mitigation decades ago. I will be hosting a Disaster Recovery and Preparedness Festival in Inyokern in the Spring. Hear us when we say California is sick of burning! Listen to Indigenous Teachers!

As a person who has gone on tons of builds for cob and strawbale homes and LOVE superadobe homes, all I can say is: BUILD FOR THE FUTURE WE HAVE NOT THE FUTURE WE WISH COULD KEEP. Earthen structures whether it's cob, strawbale, adobe, or a mix of all of it, are what's going to help you thrive (not just barely survive) a heating planet. Think of what you're leaving behind to your kids and grandkids. At least this gives them a chance. Please sign this petition. Thanks!

This makes so much sense! We are struggling to maintain insurance coverage and affordable housing. Why would this building style not thrive in our environment?

it may seem a little unconventional, but I believe it’s the way of the future, especially if we live in a fire zone we know the fires will come again. I was a victim of the Woolsey fire living in a hotel for over a year surviving that took a lot. My heart goes out to those who have lost everything And have to start over. If only we had these homes in place prior to our disastrous fires we get almost every year luckily sometimes it’s a brushfire but a lot of times it destroys people‘s lives I believe in this way of building not only is it cozy, but it protects you

Building with natural materials like cob and strawbales will last and not succumb easily to natural disasters. It’s also much healthier for human health to live in and more eco friendly and sustainable. America should be making a better future for generations to come and we can start that by building natural homes.
