The anatomy and psychology art of an nuclear warfare with the community near SSFL

The Issue

The Santa Susana Field Laboratory is an industrial research and development lab located in Simi Hills, California. It was used mainly for the development and testing of liquid-propellant rocket engines for the United States space program from 1949 to 2006. And government-sponsored liquid metals research center from 1966 to 1998.

Throughout the years, about ten low-power nuclear reactors operated at SSFL, in addition to several "critical facilities" that helped develop nuclear science and applications. At least four of the ten nuclear reactors had accidents during their operation. The reactors located on the grounds of SSFL were considered experimental, and therefore, had "NO" containment structures. This should be an indictable offense, in my eyes.

Anybody in their right mind knows once these chemicals reach the ground or are released in the air, we can never go back to previous conditions which become a ticking time bomb for the community.

A flawed system has killed many people in Southern California from one of many procedural and safe code violations at Santa Susana Field Lab.

The site ceased research and development operations in 2006. The years of rocket testing, nuclear reactor testing, and liquid metal research have left the site "significantly contaminated". Environmental cleanup is ongoing, yet it is NOT occurring in the fashion necessary to prevent further decay to the community and save the lives of the folks that still live there.

The public who lives or works near the site has developed cancer and other long term illnesses. This ongoing fight is at a standstill to force the city, state and federal government to intervene in cleaning up and exposing the real truth about a cover-up about the communities civil/human rights.

This masterful ongoing delay and denial for years have caused the public that lives nearby to have profound stress, anxiety and further damage to their bodies, lives and property values. We are here to say enough is enough.
