this is a real issue, having lived in an abusive household I had to wait until I was 16 to be able to do anything about it, we really should be shedding more light to this issue

Granting bail to alleged DV offenders has been proven time and time again to mostly lead to reoffending, threats and manipulation of victims.

It’s a horrible thing to go through, to recover from (some never do), and if DV case wasn’t fatal, it’s something that can haunt you for a lifetime - and keeping people with these psychopathic minds off the street should be a priority. Repeat offenders have learned that they don’t really receive sequences - and that needs to change too.
