False advertising is a prevalent issue that deceives consumers and undermines trust in the marketplace. Recent trends show an increase in misleading marketing tactics across various industries, prompting outrage and demands for accountability. Petitions under this topic highlight the need for stricter regulations on advertising practices, with calls to penalize companies that engage in false or deceptive advertising.
One petition garnering attention calls for transparency in beauty product advertising, exposing the use of airbrushing and unrealistic standards that harm consumers self-esteem. Another petition targets the food industry, demanding accurate labeling and disclosure of harmful ingredients in products.
By exploring the petitions on false advertising, individuals can raise awareness, hold companies accountable, and advocate for truthful and ethical marketing practices. Join the movement to combat false advertising and ensure that consumers are empowered with accurate information when making purchasing decisions.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience, I am astounded that a tech company is allowed to claim space in the mental health community while exploiting our professionals and selling client data to third parties. The only way this can stop is if their funding is cut. Please do your part, NPR, and stop giving them advertising space.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, previous School Psychologist and supervisor to other therapists, I feel passionately about providing quality, ethical and moral mental health care to those clients in need. I am opposed to the harmful business practices that BetterHelp uses with a vulnerable population who is struggling with their mental health. They compromise the ethics of the profession and do not take the cornerstone of our practice seriously (confidentiality) as they have shared client data after promising not to do so. Clients are being misled about BetterHelp and those companies advertising for them should reconsider their relationship with this company.

With two small children under 4 I would love to be able to take them to the park without having to leave the neighborhood! Would be so much easier on our family
We have 2 sweet kiddos that need a place to get their energy out! One of the main reasons we built here is because of the promise of a playground and it’s pretty disappointing what we got in comparison to other Capital Homes neighborhoods!
I have two small children who would love to have somewhere to play within walking distance of us. When I saw the “play ground” sign I was excited then disappointed when I saw some grass with a couple swings.
There is plenty of room to really put in a nice playground splashpad area for the neighborhood to really enjoy. 3 swings just doesn’t cut it for the number of families with small children. Just think of the connections that would be made at the playground if it had a great picnic/bbq area too. Whole families would gather and meet up there for get togethers. Let’s bring back neighborhoods that know each other.
My concern is the misleading of students. I know my GPA is true and that I am eligible for honors and I did pay towards this for the graduation packet of shirt, plaque and such, I am hoping they didn't just take my money of over $175 and not plan on delivering on the promises and benefits that were stated.
