I served 9 years as a U.S. Marine and 6 years as a federal civilian worker. Since the recent election, I have watched Republicans vilify federal employees—calling them parasites and targets—while the head of OMB openly stated his intent to “traumatize” workers to deter them from returning to their jobs. The dismantling of our agencies has created a national security threat, and now they are turning their attacks on civilians.
Meanwhile, Congress has ceded its authority, allowing the president to consolidate power within the executive branch. They promised not to touch Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security—yet those very programs are now under threat. This is a blatant breach of trust that endangers lives and weakens our national security. I urge our leaders to stand up against these dangerous actions before it’s too late.
Myself and many others in our little rural community of NC are angry that this administration is causing harm to us, but we are appalled that our Representatives have been complicit in it. We need you to hear us. If you help protect us, we will be there to defend and support you in turn. We want a d need you on our side, and we want to make this clear to you in person. Please.
I love the state and people you represent. Please keep fighting the good fight against the hateful rhetoric and agenda that the leadership in our country is pursuing. I am an ally of the trans community and your actions provide hope to the vulnerable who need it the most.
As the mother of a transgender son, thank you, Governor Mills, for standing up for us citizens in Maine. I wish you could be re-elected again. Please keep standing firm and tall! You are amazing!
As a father of a trans kid that also has many trans friends here and elsewhere, I abhor these attacks on trans youth and want to thank Governor Mills for standing up for them. Thank you for fighting for us!
Gov Mills thank you for Standing up to the person who is currently in the White House DT. I am proud to be a Maine resident and know you are not afraid to stand up for the rights of LGBTQ and all people on minorities. Also for honoring Title IX and the Federal Laws of our state! Thank you for being willing to fight and havde no fear of this man! I stand with you and the Attorney General!
In Peace Judy
As a woman, I cannot even begin to describe the overwhelming sense of relief, serenity, representation, and pride I felt when Janet Mills refused to allow herself to bullied and disparaged by Donald Trump at the Govenor's Dinner. Thank you, Janet Mills, for giving voice to Mainers, representing confident and and deterred women, and your unrelenting commitment to protecting state and federal law!
