Petition for Urgent International Intervention to Protect the People of Nepal and Restore Justice

Subject: Save Nepal from Corruption, Violence, and Human Rights Violations

Respected Authorities and Concerned Citizens,

On September 8, 2025, peaceful demonstrations erupted across Nepal as citizens—primarily young students and Gen Z youth—stood up against rampant corruption, social media censorship, and the suppression of basic freedoms. What should have been a peaceful call for justice turned into a tragedy of national proportions.

By the end of the day, more than 20 lives were lost, and hundreds of others were injured, as security forces responded with brutal force—bullets, tear gas, and violence—against unarmed citizens demanding freedom, accountability, and the right to speak. Families have lost sons and daughters, communities are traumatized, and the nation is shaken by the scale of state-backed oppression.

These protests were not the act of a few—they reflect the collective voice of the people of Nepal demanding an end to corruption, impunity, and abuse of power. Instead of listening to the citizens, those in power chose violence over dialogue, suppressing the very people they were sworn to protect. This is no longer just a political issue—it is a matter of life, liberty, and the survival of democracy in Nepal.

We, the undersigned, urgently call for:

Accountability for Perpetrators: Immediate investigation and prosecution of all individuals—security personnel and political actors—involved in the killing and oppression of peaceful protesters, in accordance with national and international law.
Removal of Corrupt Politicians: A thorough cleansing of all corrupt political leaders and officials whose actions have endangered citizens’ lives and eroded democracy.
Restoration of Civil Liberties: Immediate protection of freedom of speech, assembly, and access to information, including reversal of any censorship or media bans.
Humanitarian Support: Urgent aid and psychological support for families, victims, and communities affected by the violence.
International Oversight: Deployment of human rights observers and monitoring teams to ensure the safety of citizens and the protection of democratic rights.
The youth and people of Nepal have demanded justice, transparency, and accountability—and they have paid with their lives. The world must not remain silent. Immediate international action is required to save lives, restore democracy, and ensure that corruption and violence no longer dominate Nepal.

Let this petition be a rallying call to all people of conscience worldwide: support the people of Nepal, demand justice, and help restore the rights and safety of millions. The time to act is now.
