Hello my name is Jonathan. The US is the only home I've known for 24 years. I don't even remember my family in my home country. I've worked legally since I was 18 years old and have paid taxes every year for the past 11 years (I'm 29). I have never asked for any government assistance and I graduated as a mechanical engineer in 2019. I took up a work study while in college to pay for classes. I've worked in my field for the past 5 years and I believe myself to be an excellent employee. All I'm asking for my permit to be renewed. We pay the application fee (not cheap) every 2 years and submit with ample time. I understand I'll never be treated as an American, but I love this country and all I want is to continue to contribute to this GREAT Nation. Thank you!
Having called the US home since childhood, I've spent almost 29 years building my life here. I urge you to recognize my roots and allow me to remain in the country I love.
As a 30-year-old woman who came to this country at a very young age, I have built my life here—contributing to my community, growing my small business, and striving for a future in the place I proudly call home. However, the uncertainty of not having a clear path to citizenship is challenging.
DACA has given me the opportunity to work and build something for myself, but the limitations remain. A pathway to citizenship would not only provide the stability I need to continue growing my business but also allow me and others like me to contribute even more—creating jobs, supporting the economy, and strengthening our communities.
A permanent solution would be life-changing. Please support a pathway to citizenship for all DACA recipients so we can continue building our future in the country we love.
As a 32-year-old woman who came to this country at a very young age, I have built my life here, contributing to the community and striving for a future in the place I now call home. The uncertainty of not having a clear path to citizenship is difficult, but a path for DACA recipients would allow me and others like me to continue contributing fully without the fear of being forced to leave. It would be life-changing and help provide the stability we need to continue pursuing our dreams and supporting this country that we love. Please support a path to citizenship for all DACA recipients.
