Management should have fixed the elevator two months ago instead of repeating scripted emails and neglecting residents’ demand. Just having one elevator could lead to disastrous outcomes for people in an emergency. The building deserves a more competent management team.
I have a 2 month old baby and I couldn’t get on the elevator multiple times because of this incident. It is effecting our daily lives too much to overlook.
This is not the first elevator outage. The elevators have been consistently inconsistent for the past couple of years. Both my wife and I have been stuck in the parking garage elevators and I had to be rescued by the fire department. While I was trapped in the elevator the emergency call service hung up on me twice and the front desk told my wife they could not asssit but she was free to call 911. Management never responded to my complaint. AND, can we talk about the package room?!
I’m a physician Assistant and I’m on call when I get paged I need to go. I can not wait 30 mins for an elevator that is already full. This has really put a burden on us living here at the Moment and we deserve some rent reduction due to this stress and not having the required by law number of elevators for this many floors and residents.
I am a physician at a nearby hospital. I have been late or nearly late to several of my hospital shifts because of long elevator wait times (or elevators being completely down without notice). This has added additional stress to an already demanding job which was something I was hoping to avoid by renting in a luxury building close to the hospital. I will not be renewing my lease.
Elevators have been down multiple months with continued hopes that they will be fixed with no results. There have been dozens of times where I would have to wait 10-20 minutes or have to use the stairs in a 45 story building.
