My daughter has been attending Clanstock concerts and is finally heading to Charlan in September and her number one priority was to join the Clanstock group! This initiative has become much more than a music program — it’s a platform for students to express themselves, build confidence, and develop a sense of belonging. Through Clanstock, students have found their voice and their place. It is a program that empowers students, celebrates individuality, and brings our community together in meaningful ways. This initiative has become much more than a music program — it’s a platform for students to express themselves, build confidence, and develop a sense of belonging. The loss of this teacher would mean the likely end of this unique and powerful initiative. It would also signal to students that the passion and innovation that fuel programs like Clanstock are not valued. This is particularly disheartening in a time when schools are striving to support the whole student — academically, emotionally, and creatively. Mr. Glanville has clearly shown a deep investment in the lives of students, and in building a school culture that is inclusive, inspiring, and supportive. Keeping Mr. Glanville means preserving a critical source of student engagement, creativity, and mentorship — one that has already made a lasting impact on so many lives.

When I was in school at charlan, Mr Glanville always put a smile on my face. His classes are very educating. There is NO ONE that could replace all the hard work that he puts into charlan, especially band. He puts his sweat and tears into band. If Mr glanville were to leave, there wouldn’t be amazing opportunities for students to learn who they are. I was never in band, but I know the people who were in band were able to express themselves through music, and without him, a lot of students wouldn’t have that opportunity to find themselves during high school. I vote that Mr glanville stays. So he can keep putting smiles on faces and to keep his amazing band going!

Mr. Glanville is much more than “just a teacher.” He is a leader, a mentor, a friend, and someone we can all confide in, which is hard to come by. He gave us this incredible opportunity to become a part of his passion and to show off our talents. I, along with many other skilled musicians and backstage crew, are so grateful. Having the privilege to work alongside Mr Glanville and the band is truly one of my biggest accomplishments. Clanstock is all about diversity, inclusion, and mental health, which the school board has been trying to push - ironic. Getting rid of Mr Glanville means getting rid of this amazing organization we have. Please fight for our band, share, speak on it, get the word out there. Mr Glanville deserves the world; Not to be let down by some stupid system. Mr Glanville, if you see this at any point, thank you for everything you’ve done for all of us, you’re our hero, but you’re anything but ordinary. (Shoutout Dave Grohl)

Our band is one of the only successful groups advocating for mental health awareness around Williamstown and Cornwall, and we’re finally being heard. If it’s ripped away from us, what will we do? How will we spread our message loud enough? Students feel invisible and unheard, most likely even more so when we’ll be gone. If Mr. Glanville is being removed, and if Clanstock is being taken away, soon you’ll realize the lack of diversity in communities at Char-Lan and other schools who open their eyes to see it too.

Seeing them preform at VCI was amazing, not just because the group preformed art, but also because they spread awareness about mental health, and they show such care and support to each other. Every single person in the group shows such passion in what they do and you can see it every time they preform, seeing them care for each other on stage just like they care for their music is such a beautiful thing to have and to witness, Clanstock is doing amazing, so why take out someone important to the band, why make this sudden change now when they are being heard and seen.

As the drummer of Duck Tape, I can definitely say this program has been huge in letting students gain confidence and inspire others in pursuing passions in music and that's exactly what we need to see in the younger generation. Mr. Glanville has been instrumental in his efforts to keep the younger generation engaged in music and the loss of him as a teacher would remove one of the greatest school programs I've ever seen!

Mr Glanville has gone above and beyond to create an emotional connection with the students of CDHS. He has made a true difference in my nieces time there and should be given the opportunity to reach as many children as possible with his kindness and flare for the creative.

Mr. Glanville has engaged the students at Char-Lan into Glengarry Mental Health Initiative’s purpose: to end the stigma around mental health. It is a difficult challenge to gain the ears of high schoolers, especially when it comes to mental health. He not only managed to do this, but made the students mental health advocates and champions. He is truly one of a kind. It would be a true loss to the school board to lose such a passionate, talented teacher.

Mr. Glanville has made a huge impact on the students in the Charlan school and the Williamstown area. My daughter is going into grade 7 and her main concern is joining the band which she’s been working hard to learn instruments for. My eldest daughter was in the beginnings of CLANSTOCK and thoroughly enjoyed her time in it. This band has helped several students with mental health issues look forward to being a part of something and focus on positivity. Mr. Glanville leaving the school will make a huge negative impact on the community and the students that attend the school and will leave many creative students with nothing to look forward to in the upcoming years.
