This theatre is my childhood! Would be heartbroken to see it become more condos.
It's a Culture cornerstone in the community! A cultural space that Chilliwack desperately needs
Elyssa supported: Save Cottonwood 4 Cinemas - Keep our beloved theatre alive!This is really heart-wrenching, to see yet ANOTHER familiar, beloved & affordable landmark/venue being stripped of its purpose & contribution to the community that has treasured it for so long. What's going to take this ones place? Another vacant lot like The (historic/original) Paramount Theater? As members of this community & long-time locals, some of us have a tapestry of precious memories wrapped up in these places only to see business after business be edged out or shut down over landlords price-gouging owners after moving in to gentrify a place none of us asked them to. I'm sick of it. This place was the only place I felt right spending any of my money to see the movies I was absolutely fine with waiting to see, the owners/ambience/comfort made this place worth it. During the lockdowns/pandemic, they were exceptionally considerate of my friends & I who were the only ones who bought tickets for a movie, showed up late only to find out they'd kept it on pause for us the whole time, total sweethearts for that. If it's more flimsy, poorly-built, ugly-arse bird-house apartments that replace this....shame. Shame on all of you for destroying a community.

It would be so disappointing to have this wonderful theatrical event destroyed by not allowing it to be performed in the Miners Hall. It is the perfect spot for the perfect show! Do not take it away!
