Our family has been going to Hollywood 3 for many years. We love this little independent movie house! Please don’t replace it with yet another Dollar Store- we have so many already!!! Save this theatre!!!
This theatre has been amazing source of comfort for many people who cannot afford the prices of the big shot theatres these days. Not to mention, we definitely do not need yet another Dollarama in the community when there are so many similar stores already in the area and surrounding communities. My children absolutely love this theatre as to many of my family friends.
It would be such a shame to lose it to another big corporate enterprise
I have been going to this theatre for years. It plays movies that I enjoy at a much more affordable price. I also prefer supporting small local businesses.
I grew up at this theatre! Would wait for the movies to leave Cineplex and make it to the Hollywood 3, pile in with my friends. It would be a serious disservice to the MRPM area to lose a place that fosters so much community. We have enough dollar stores, MORE that enough. One across from another.
As a young mom this was one of the only theatres I could afford to take my child to during that period. Also one of the only theatres showing day time movies and classics.
This theatre has been a cornerstone of the community for such a long time. It offers affordable entertainment in a time when the economy and escalating prices are a hindrance to lower-income families. Losing this theatre would be a travesty, and would seriously gut the culture and vibrancy of our community.
We love Hollywood 3! My son is a huge fan of movies and it's great to have a budget friendly option to take him to when he wants to see a new favourite movie over and over again. We do not need another dollar store. We need a place where families can go and have an experience together. Hollywood 3 gives us that experience.
My name is Dan Rickard and I can't stress enough the importance of seeing a film with a crowd. Movies are made to be a shared experience. The costs of leasing and property tax have become out of control for most independent theatres to survive. We lost The Starlight Drive-in last year due to lease increases and former Hollywood 3 theatres in Newton and White Rock. It's upsetting to see these venues slip away due to greed. Please visit The Hollywood Caprice 4 in White Rock as well as other independent theatres to support these theatres you grew up with. I run a page on Facebook called Vancouver Cinefiles that reflects the history of movie theatres in Vancouver and surrounding areas and represents the tragic loss of local cinemas both recently and historically. If you are a fan of movie theatres I invite you to check it out. Pitt Meadows I feel your loss, whole hearted.
This is not only a theatre but an important part of all our childhoods. Before it became Hollywood 3 it was Harris Road Cinemas. It's an icon in our town. It gives people an affordable place to find entertainment.
Between Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge we have more dollar stores than any one place needs. We need to save the theatre. Save a historic part of our childhood.
What an absolute shame it'd be to loose Hollywood 3 Cinema to make way for yet another Dollarama store. You can't replace memories and joy with overly mass produced items. Our children grew up in this town and we've had so many fond experiences, shared quality time together and got to know our neighbours and friends here. We NEED Hollywood 3 to stay.
