We are beyond happy to share the news that Translink has decided to continue the Poetry in Transit program! Here is what they said:
Following further discussions and a review of our advertising space across the transit system, TransLink has found a way to continue our longstanding partnership with Books BC on Poetry in Transit, while balancing other important customer communication needs.
We've seen through the response from community members just how much Poetry in Transit means to people and the important role it has played in connecting them with arts and culture for 30 years.
We're pleased to be able to continue showcasing B.C. poetry within our current advertising space availability. As our customer communication needs evolve, we'll continue to evaluate the use of space across our system.
We appreciate everyone who took the time to share their feedback and look forward to working with Books BC on the details of the program in the coming months.
Hurrah! Thanks everyone! We could not have done this without your support. :)
