It is a common fact that Marijuana has less harmful effects than alcohol, cigarettes, and guns.

Sixty-one percent of Americans live that in the United States have reformed their marijuana laws by allowing medical marijuana, imposing a fine, not possible jail time, on marijuana possession, or making marijuana legally available and regulated for adults’ use.

Marijuana is NOT addictive, yet it is completely and utterly legal to smoke cigarettes that ARE in fact, addictive and cause cancer among other side-effects. Not only do cigarettes kill you, they kill the people around you as well. Marijuana is not only a natural herb, it is ten times safer than any other Illegal substance known to man. Marijuana is one of many controversial issues facing America today. It should not be a crime to smoke something natural, and less harmful than products that do indeed harm people that are legal. 

It is fact that there has never been any form of studies done in The United States proving or disproving whether or not Marijuana is harmful or not. However, there have been numerous studies in other countries PROVING that Marijuana does not harm you. In fact, there are several benefits of medical marijuana.

Coming from an individual who suffers from extreme anxiety and depression, Marijuana is the only cure for me. When I was 10 years old, I had a 35 year old man with schizophrenic break into my home. I was awaken by this man standing above my bed with a pair of scissors. When I started to scream, he ran out of my home. Since this horrific incident, I have tried a plethora of pharmaceuticals, starting at the age of 11, and I am now 20. All the medication does for me is provide me with extremely negative side effects. Some of these side effects are, weight gain, suicidal thoughts, headaches, etc. The list goes on and on regarding this negative side effects. Marijuana is the only medication that does not have ANY negative side effects.

I know their are others who feel the same views as I do. Marijuana can help individuals with all different kinds of diseases or disorders. This naturally occurring herb can make a tremendous difference in the lives of many. Please, help me show our representatives of Texas how supportive we are of medical Marijuana legalization!
