STOP Trump and administration expansion on Logging in Protected State and National Parks

STOP Trump and administration expansion on Logging in Protected State and National Parks
The Issue
Let’s face it, life gets crazy. National and State Parks have always been one of my places to get away and be with nature. The protected wildlife and landscape that’s mostly untouched is so amazing to see. The protection of these parks allows our generation and generations after us to enjoy these areas. Please stop Trump and his administration from ruining these places and lifting restrictions for logging. If we allow this, this could ruin these places forever. Please support this cause. ❤️
My personal attachment to our state and national parks is deeply rooted in their inherent beauty. For many, including myself, these spaces provide a much-needed escape into the tranquility of nature. They serve as an oasis of untouched wonder, home to myriad wildlife species, and the beauty of our world in its purest form.
The Trump administration's plan to expand logging into these protected territories stands to devastate this natural sanctuary. The United States houses around 640 million acres of public land, much of it forested (National Geographic, 2019). But an increase in logging would compromise these areas' biodiversity, threatening the habitat of countless species, and disrupt the natural balance of ecosystems that have thrived, untouched for centuries.
Moreover, logging contributes significantly to climate change, which further endangers these ecosystems. As forests play a crucial role in absorbing CO2 aerosols, their destruction would significantly exacerbate global warming (Yale School of Environment, 2020).
It is critical to retain the sanctity of these spaces not only for our generation but for those yet to come. It's crucial that we reject any proposals that would see protected areas logged and instead fight to keep these spaces preserved, untouched, just as they are.
Please sign this petition to halt the expansion of logging into our protected state and national parks.
