As a concerned resident of Ozone Park, Queens, I'm reaching out for your support to oppose the transformation of the former Villa Marcello catering hall, located at 96-25 Rockaway Blvd, into two new mental health facilities. This proposal by Transitional Services for New York, a nonprofit organization, plans to demolish the vacant property to build a 10-bed crisis respite residence and a 14-bed short-term transitional residence, aimed at assisting adults with mental health issues.

While mental health services are crucial, the location chosen is in close proximity to several schools and homes, raising serious concerns about the safety and well-being of our children and neighborhoods.
