Thomas Peter DiNapoli is an accomplished American politician who has been serving as the 54th New York State Comptroller since 2007. A dedicated member of the Democratic Party, DiNapoli was initially appointed to the comptroller position by a bipartisan majority of the New York State Legislature on February 7, 2007. He has since earned the trust of New York's voters, winning re-election in 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022. Notably, in 2014, he led the statewide ticket with the highest number of votes and secured his third term in 2018 with an impressive 64.9% of the vote. In 2022, he was re-elected for a fourth term, receiving 57% of the vote. Before becoming comptroller, DiNapoli served as a member of the New York State Assembly. He is the second longest-serving comptroller in New York State history.
