Antonio Ramon Delgado is an accomplished American attorney and politician who has served as the Lieutenant Governor of New York since 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously represented New York’s 19th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2019 to 2022. Notably, Delgado is the first person of African-American or Latino descent elected to Congress from Upstate New York, as well as the first Latino to hold statewide office in New York.Born and raised in New York, Delgado pursued higher education with a Bachelor's in Philosophy & Political Science from Colgate University, a Master's in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar, and a JD from Harvard University.
