The world is in a time of crisis. There is war in Ukraine, and conflict in Palestine and Israel. There was a pandemic in 2020, and it shook the earth by killing 6,961,014 people. The earth needs a world government do deal with these problems, and it needs one now, as the whole earth cannot deal with its problems with sovereign nations. Additionally, AI has the potential to wreck havoc on humanity if it is not governed globally. Additionally, with the increased globalization of society overtime with the internet, society increasingly less identifies exclusively with their countries, and should instead be citizens of the world who can live anywhere.

If the earth does not get a global government (preferably in the form of the UN, as it is an already existing global institution), there is the potential for chaos. There are human rights abused being committed throughout the world, and there is no universally accepted jurisdiction to deal with these problems. The world needs a federal global government that has jurisdiction exclusively over world crises, climate change, other environmental issues, military issues, citizenship (allowing for United Nations Citizenship, meaning the right to live and work anywhere in the world, and national citizenship, giving you the right to vote in national elections and run for office in national elections (if in democratic country), granted by having a residence in a residence in a country for two years and, if you have more than one residence in multiple countries, you will have both countries citizenship if you owned the residence for at least two years and can prove that you have payed taxes to each country [people without a residence would have the national citizenship of their last residence] pandemics, border disputes between countries, internet jurisdiction, Artificial Intelligence and Artificial General Intelligence, international commerce, defined specifically as someone who crosses a national line and what they do while they travel to their final destination, an object that is traveled across a national line under the same circumstances as a person, and the regulation of multinational corporations, space jurisdiction (until other planets potentially create their own world governments), scientific discoveries relating to weapons that can cause mass destruction, and other global issues, upon a vote of 6/10 of the population’s representatives agreeing that the issue cannot be sufficiently handled at the national level. Everything else would be under the jurisdiction of the nations states and their respective regional states/provinces.

It is important to act now, as the nations of the world increasingly get more hostile with each other. With the potential of nuclear weapons on the table, if we do not get world peace soon, we may be too late to save humanity from the destruction and devastation of the nuclear bomb and fallout. If we act now, we may be able to save humanity, and be able to achieve greater things like go to space and colonize Mars, instead of wipe ourselves out over disputes between nation states.
