The Issue

A 6.0-magnitude earthquake has devastated eastern Afghanistan—killing over 800 people, injuring more than 1,300, and burying families under collapsed homes.

Survivors are digging through rubble, emergency crews are overwhelmed, and time is running out to save lives.

Afghanistan’s humanitarian crisis is already one of the world’s worst. And now, with buildings flattened, hospitals overwhelmed, and winter approaching, the need for immediate international support is urgent.

The U.S. once led the world in humanitarian aid for Afghanistan. But under the current administration, $1.7 billion in funding has been cut, including food aid and emergency relief that could help right now.

We’re calling on President Trump and the State Department to restore emergency humanitarian aid to Afghanistan immediately.

Send funding and support for urgent rescue and relief operations
Ensure that U.S. assistance prioritizes food, shelter, medical supplies, and clean water.

This is not about politics—it’s about human lives.

The United Nations is mobilizing. So are other nations. The U.S. must not be absent while children are pulled from rubble and families grieve in freezing mountains.
