Neil deGrasse Tyson is a well-known science communicator whose ability to articulate the criticality of science is, to say the least, needed in today's pathetic political climate.

A substantial meeting therefore between the president and Dr. Tyson would likely inspire increased appreciation for science and basic research, and could motivate the federal government to invest in and also accept seriously the results brought forth by various scientific disciplines.

Petitioning for such a meeting should be a bipartisan no-brainer.
