The BYU-Hawaii President's Council says “it’s not political” in the removal of the historic McKay Mosaic in Laie, Hawaii. But its selected "significant portions" has morphed into President McKay holding a tablecloth instead of the flag.

 Truth is reason.

In this confused world of entitlements and elevating oneself before others, it's very disappointing to see a deepening crisis of leadership on the BYU-Hawaii campus.

Instead of showing gratitude to founders, prophets, and worldwide tithe-payers who made BYU-Hawaii possible for students from the Pacific and Asian Rim, the administration is mired in one tiny silo, filled with the culture of Sovereignty extremism.

The Sovereignty Extremists are offended by the McKay Mosaic because of the American Flag, the colonialism of barefoot school children, the Pledge of Allegiance, the "inter-generational trauma" caused by "imperialism", Hawaii is illegally occupied by the United States, and other woes.

The few Sovereignty Extremists who are in position of power must be investigated. Students from around the world should not be subjected to such brainwashing at any university. Tithe-payers of the world will be astounded by what's happening in Laie.

The McKay Mosaic cannot become a casualty of such extremism.

There is nothing left in the Laie campus that is historic any more. The remaining iconic McKay mosaic that has been used as a missionary tool for thousands of PCC visitors and dignitaries will be chopped up, with most parts removed by the "politically correct" Sovereignty Extremists.

What is the long game for this extremism?

Today, there are offenses with the McKay Mosaic. Tomorrow, will the "whiteness" of the First Presidency become offensive? Will extremists find offense with the fact that the gospel was first restored in the USA?

Something is not right at BYU-Hawaii.

The historic McKay Mosaic is being erased and replaced by a deluxe A-frame ski-lodge with expansive windows.

DO YOU PART. Write to Church Headquarters. Ask President Nelson to INVESTIGATE and RECONSIDER the removal of the McKay Mosaic. (There's a public relations war with the local BYU-Hawaii Administration team. Church Headquarters is hearing only what was packaged to them.)
