The Lychee and Dog Meat Festival is an annual festival held in Yulin, Guangxi, China, during the summer solstice in which festival goers eat dog meat and lychees. The festival spans about ten days during which thousands of dogs are reportedly consumed.

Isn't this an act of cruelty towards Dogs. Moreover torturing them and eating them for the sake of good luck and prosperity!!? This practice won't bring any good luck to anyone! This is just an act of inhumanity.Being a living organism is a beautiful thing in itself, if we are comparatively more powerful than other species then the nature hasn't given us a right over torturing the inferior ones. 

There are so many cruel practices done all over the world on animals. We need to everyone to be more aware . Let's bring this to an end!!

Furthermore, this festival, which was first held in 2010, has no cultural or traditional value, and exists primarily for commercial gain. Millions of people from China and abroad have signed petitions to ban the slaughtering of dogs for meat.
