Right now, any student studying Computer Science at GCSE is required to do a 20-hour controlled assessment. These Controlled Assessments mean nothing towards our GCSE grade but take up more than 30 periods of our lessons. This time could go to teaching us the content we will be assessed on, but instead, we are required to work on a potentially extremely stressful project that has no affect on our future grades.
