I have lived in Laingholm for the past 26 years, and in all that time, the majestic Phoenix palms have been a quintessential part of our community’s landscape. They don’t just stand tall and proud; they hold memories, stories, and a connection to the diverse beauty that defines Laingholm. To me, and to many others, these palms are not just trees; they are a beloved feature of the Laingholm spirit that enriches our everyday lives. Removing them would change the face of our beloved beach forever, altering an integral piece of our community identity.
