We Request A Mandatory Transition to IPv6 Networks for Websites and ISP's
The Issue
As a user of T-Mobile Home Internet, I have personally experienced the frustrations and inconveniences caused by the use of Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT) technology. This technology assigns multiple users a shared IP address, resulting in limited accessibility and increased security concerns. I constantly encounter captchas from Google, blocking my access to certain websites due to unaddressed abuse complaints about malicious behavior originating from this shared network.
I believe it is high time for all websites and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to make a mandatory transition to IPv6-only networks. IPv6 offers numerous advantages over the current standard, IPv4, including an exponentially larger address space that can accommodate the growing number of devices connected to the internet.
Here are some relevant facts supporting this petition:
1. Exhaustion of IPv4 Addresses: The available pool of unique IPv4 addresses has been depleted due to the exponential growth in internet-connected devices worldwide. This scarcity leads ISPs to resort to CGNAT solutions like T-Mobile's Home Internet service.

2. Enhanced Security: Transitioning to IPv6 networks eliminates the need for CGNAT, which inherently poses security risks by sharing IP addresses among multiple users. With unique IP addresses assigned through IPv6, it becomes easier for law enforcement agencies and cybersecurity professionals to track down malicious activities.

3. Improved Performance: By adopting an exclusively IPv6 network infrastructure, websites can leverage its inherent efficiency gains over dual-stack or transitional setups that support both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols simultaneously.

By signing this petition, you are urging governments worldwide as well as website owners and ISPs globally to take immediate action towards transitioning their networks exclusively onto IPv6. This transition will not only address the challenges faced by users like myself but also ensure a more secure, accessible, and efficient internet experience for all.
Together, let us advocate for this necessary change and pave the way towards a future-proof internet infrastructure. Sign now to support the mandatory transition to IPv6 networks!
Thank you for your support in making this crucial transformation a reality.
