So we get it - coronavirus has people scared. The media is overhyping a disease similar to the flu in order to push political agendas and sway elections in 2020.

The greater Houston community and hundreds of thousands of people all over the country who rely on and enjoy the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo shouldn’t have their freedoms trampled upon as a result of that!

Let adults make their own decisions based on their knowledge and ability to make choices for themselves. If we take adequate precautions (washing hands, masks, not traveling when sick, etc.) we should have the right to decide if we’re going to head to the rodeo.

This is tradition. This is economic. This affects countless lives, from the Houston local economy to the scholarship recipients each year who are going to be negatively affected by these scare tactics.
