In the heart of the Bronx, NY, lies a community Stevenson Commons that has been shaped and inspired by individuals whose love and dedication have left a remarkable impact. Among those was William M Pratt ( Mr.Pratt), a man of profound influence whose contributions and spirit have helped forge the very fabric of our neighborhood. His life's work was defined by compassion, leadership, and a steadfast commitment to uplifting those around him.

Mr.Pratt  devoted his life to serving our community with a deep sense of responsibility. For over 40 yrs whether it was organizing community events such as (AA meetings, senior citizens programs, summer youth programs) offering a helping hand to those in need, or sharing wisdom with the youth, he was an unwavering pillar of support and guidance. His vision for a better, more connected community was evident in every aspect of his life, and his legacy continues to inspire us all.

Now, we have the opportunity to honor his enduring legacy by commemorating him with a street sign in our beloved Bronx. A street sign not only serves as a tribute to his lasting contributions but also as an enduring reminder of the values he stood for. His name on a street sign will inspire future generations to continue his legacy of service and kindness.

To achieve this, we are petitioning local government officials and community leaders to officially name a street after my grandfather, in recognition of his invaluable contributions. This gesture will ensure that his impact is forever etched into the history of our neighborhood.
