Dear Sirs

I wish to raise a petition at the highest level for institutions and countries around the world to acknowledge that Hinduphobia exists and is pravelent.This narrative has to change, the Hindu religion is the oldest surviving religion in the world which practices non-violence, Hindus have spread spiritualisn instead of embarking on crusades.

There is a trend in both UN and generally Western countries (and their media) to turn a blind eye when it comes to Hinduphobia. Just today (17 Feb 22) the PM of Canada demonstrated his ignorance comparing the Swastika our sacred religious symbol with the Nazi symbol.

The Hindu community be they in Asia, Europe, USA or any other part of the world has always lived in peace, not only have they assimilated but have contributed immensely to the culture and wealth of countries they reside in.

The population of Hindus in 1947 in West Pakistan (now Pakistan) and East Pakistan {now Bangladesh) was 20% and 30% respectively, this has dwindled down to 2% and 7% respectively, does anyone raise any concerns?

The subject of Kashmir is regularly brought up at the UN but the genocide of over 500k Kashmiri Hindu Pandits or the plight of the fortunate survivors who live in refugee camps in their own country is never discussed.

I appeal to you to acknowledge that Hinduphobia exists and urge that a balanced approach for tackling such issues. I leave you with a quote from George Bernard Shaw "Hinduism is so elastic and subtle that the most profound Methodist and crudest idolater are equally at home with it".
