As a Decorated Retired 1st Lieutenant who served our country, The United States Of America, with The United States Air Force CAP Emergency Services Search & Rescue, I am deeply concerned about the financial implications of our continued support for the war in Ukraine. It is not America's job to constantly fund Ukraine with American money to the point of America being in financial ruin. This funding has led to increased prices across various sectors, causing undue hardship for everyday Americans.

According to data from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), since 2022, we have provided about $ 200 Billion in security assistance to Ukraine (source: DoD). This includes not only direct funding but also training and advisory support which diverts resources from domestic programs and initiatives.

While it is essential that we stand by our Allies and promote global Freedom and World Peace, this should not come at such a high cost to our own citizens. We need a balanced approach that takes into consideration both international commitments and domestic welfare.

Let us urge Congress and the Administration to reassess this policy. Let's prioritize fiscal responsibility at Home while still maintaining strong international relations.
