Students are directly impacted by the decisions school boards make every day—yet they are almost never included in those conversations.

Policies around education, from curriculum changes to phone bans to school culture, are often decided by individuals far removed from the current student experience. Without student input, these decisions risk missing the realities of modern classrooms and the diverse needs of today’s students.

This initiative calls for the establishment of student representation within school board discussions and decision-making processes—ensuring that the voices of those most affected are not just heard, but considered. We plan to start this movemenet in our hometown, Indiana, then expanding across the nation.

Students offer valuable, firsthand perspectives. They understand the day-to-day impact of policies in ways that cannot be replicated. Including student voices leads to more informed, equitable, and effective decision-making.

We are advocating for:
