The Westbound on ramp from Jameson Ave/Lakeshore Blvd W has always been unusually short at approximately 100m long. This is because prior to 2015 there used to be a bridge in the way on Dowling Ave. This makes merging difficult and dangerous.

The Dowling Ave bridge was torn down in 2015, and replaced with a "temporary" pedestrian bridge.  However the problem is they kept the main support for the road, the one that was blocking the Jameson on ramp in the first place. This support is not required for a small pedestrian bridge.

Remove the support pillar blocking the Jameson on ramp and extend it another 200m, so that people can merge more safely. Make a prettier permanent pedestrian bridge as well, one without a middle support.
