Horses are flight animals, not designed for trudging along roads filled with vehicles, hauling heavy loads, enduring heat for many hours walking on concrete. This is harmful to their bodies and their spirits and needs to be stopped!

I am SO SICK of listening to leaf blowers for HOURS on end every single day. It begins in APRIL (the amount of leaves on the ground in spring does not warrant a blower.) and continues for over 6 months. The persistent noise gives me a headache even if I am far away. Each home/building has lawn maintenance on a different day at a different time which means the noise occurs non-stop every day all day.
Meesh supported: Tell TORONTO CITY COUNCIL: BAN 2-stroke Leaf-blowers and similar garden equipment.
As an IB student who was randomly pulled out of a course I was determined to take for university requirements due to lack of space I know the stress and anxiety of these course switch ups. But to have this happen mid diploma with no notice is completely unacceptable!

As a Semiahmoo IB graduate who loved her time in the programme, I am sad to hear about these changes. Many of my friends loved HL biology and geography. It is incredibly unfair to force students to switch courses between the two years of this rigorous programme. Do better, Semiahmoo.

Kelowna, open your hearts to what hens can give to your citizens, especially during this time when egg prices are so high and the turmoil in your government causes a heavy weight of stress for everyone. I know personally from providing hens for therapy and eggs for those in my community has been 100% successful here as we in America have mirrored many of the same troubles as your country. Caring for hens provides a purpose and allows caregivers to see the changing world through a more focused view allowing them to not only feel they have a direction in life to hang on to but also a way to assist in providing food security within their local community and among their neighbors. Additionally, hens used for therapy in assisted living homes and programs to assist the disabled, people dealing with depression, anxiety, PTSD, autism, ADHD, and those with dementia and Alzheimer’s have benefitted tremendously from the focus and neurons these lightweight birds provide. And with much less mess and odor than a therapy dog. One single hen sitting on the lap of someone who is isolate or feeling their life is out of control or hopeless brings incredible change for the better, better than you could imagine. I’ve seen it over and over with so many people here in the U.S.A. Choose what will help everyone and will show your naysayers and doubters there has never been anything to fear from living next to neighbors who have the freedom of choice to keep hens. You are the key to the lock on the door which has blocked the freedom of your citizens from living out the freedom of living life the way they choose. The freedom to keep hens is a life which truly harms no one but can enrich the lives of everyone. Open this door to freedom for your people. America is watching in prayer and with fingers crossed you will give your citizens this small, simple, and natural freedom and God-given mandate to be the masters of all of the animals in His earthly kingdom He has entrusted to every human on the planet. Turn your key, open that door, and let freedom ring and yield to God’s will. And that freedom is as simple as allowing your citizens to keep a small, quiet bird with little waste who offers so many benefits on their own property. We are all watching.
Rhonda supported: Kelowna City Council: Kelowna, don't be a chicken and change the bylaw to allow urban hens
the hockey rink is going as well as the play ground for schools age and younger kids in this area where there are few alternative parks that are small human scale areas that are not under a massive hydro corridor and don't make you cross a couple major roads to get to and are not along some massive sports facility, the local restricted cemetery is shown on the maps as a 'green area' that viewers confuse with a park. Local school yards are being fenced off with locked gates to keep people out and the City splash pad is being taken out. All the kids get here are signs saying 'no ball playing on the road' as they play there since there is no where else.

We enjoyed our cottage adjacent to Bayview Park in our youth which included the wonderful treed areas, which CANNOT be easily replaced. I still consider this my second home and spend many wonderful reunions and visits with relatives in this area. Please don't interfere with this natural beauty in favour of allowing speedy drivers and modernization no one wants.
