As a full time students, we believe that we are not paying a reasonable price for the education we are receiving. As we know COVID-19 has prevented majority of us from attending in class sessions. We feel that we should have our tuition costs lowered for a number of reasons.

First we are not getting the in person aspect and many professors are not having zoom meetings to connect with students. The professors are not teaching us to the full aspect as they are suppose to when having a in class lecture. This is tragically effecting many students educations because we pay for post secondary to get taught to the fullest, to benefit us in our futures. This has made many of us feel overwhelmed and lost in our courses. Secondly we have to teach ourselves the material that usually would be discussed in classes.

We believe a lot of students are suffering from this but are enrolled in classes to not feel left behind with their future plans. We as students are paying for tuition at the same price as if we were going to in person classes. A lot of our tuition goes towards dental and health benefits as well as student unions and on campus services, which we are not able to use those resources while campus is closed. There is no reason as to why students should be paying the same price tuition as we would when actually attending school. We are strictly only getting the content from the online school portals & possibly some interaction via Zoom calls from some professors which is what we should only be paying for.

We think all students agree but no one is speaking up so my friend and I, both full time 3rd year students are going to speak up on behalf of all students! We need this to be changed. It is not fair that these schools are taking our money for something we are not receiving to the fullest of our benefit.
