South African Universities are plagued by unduly strikes and protests, lead by SRCs who do not have students’ best interests in this  academic journey at heart.

In the least many of these actions by the SRCs is to further their political standings in their political groups and fill their pockets with money formed by their actions in disrupting South African Tertiary Institutions’ academic schedules, cause chaos in these institutions for their self benefit and their journeys up the political ladders/rankings. These actions do not only go against their oaths of office as SRC members, but also defile the constitutions of their various institutions.

Our Institutions of Higher Education would be what they were intended to be, without the interference of external organizations who do not share the institutions’ missions, visions and goals. It would be of great benefit for South African Institutions of Higher Education, students of the institutions and parties involved to have SRC bodies that have no Political affiliation but instead be independent bodies within the universities.
