The Issue

I am a Sudanese citizen, 22 years old, and I write this petition on behalf of myself, my family, and all Sudanese civilians who have suffered immensely from the actions of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) since the conflict's eruption in April 2023. Our country has witnessed unspeakable horrors – homes have been ransacked, lives lost, women violated, and countless families have been driven from their homes, while some regional and international entities continue to shield or tacitly support these forces.

The RSF's actions have not gone unnoticed. As documented by reports from the United Nations, respected human rights organizations, and credible media outlets, these atrocities demand immediate action. Therefore, we request the following measures be taken:

1. Recognize the RSF as a terrorist militia or illegal armed group, in alignment with international laws and standards.

2. Cease all financial, military, and logistical support from any regional or international source to the RSF.

3. Enforce sanctions against RSF leaders and their accomplices, and prosecute them under international law for the crimes committed.

4. Support the Sudanese army's efforts to restore peace, protect the citizens, and uphold Sudan's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Why this is crucial:
The support of armed groups like the RSF by various entities endangers innocent civilians and challenges the security and stability of Sudan. The documented crimes reported by UN bodies and human rights organizations highlight the urgent need for these actions.
