Burn the Stigma NC

Burn the Stigma NC
The Issue
Dear Representative Destin Hall,
We, the undersigned, are calling on you to meet with North Carolinians to discuss the urgent need for cannabis reform. The overwhelming majority of residents support legalizing cannabis for both medical and recreational use. It’s time for our leadership to take bold action and listen to the voices of the people.
Cannabis reform is about more than just legal access — it’s about:
Medical Relief: Patients suffering from chronic conditions, including veterans with PTSD, deserve access to safe and effective cannabis treatments.
Economic Opportunity: Legalization can bring new jobs, tax revenue, and business opportunities to our communities.
Social Justice: Legal reform can correct decades of racial inequities, including expungement of minor cannabis-related offenses.
The North Carolina Senate has consistently passed medical cannabis legislation, but without the support of the House GOP leadership, these bills stall, leaving patients and advocates without progress. You are a key decision-maker who can break this gridlock, Representative Hall.
We respectfully ask for a meeting to discuss a path forward for cannabis reform.
This meeting is an essential step toward ensuring North Carolinians have access to life-changing medical care, economic opportunity, and equitable justice. We believe that through respectful dialogue, we can find common ground and build a brighter future for our state.
Join us in making 2024 the year for change. We ask you, Representative Hall: Will you meet with us to discuss cannabis reform?
