The Issue

English football is crying out for a return to universal Saturday kick-offs. Families and fans are experiencing loss of cherished routines, threats to careful budgets and life/work imbalances, triggered by the mayhem of kick-off times and dates.

The Russian Roulette of random match-days and times has gone ballistic, and the impact is borne by the millions of paying fans and their families whose weekends were once safely secured around the certainty of a Saturday programme of 3.00pm kick-offs.

Let's be clear; in signing this petition you're not calling for a return to the olden days but a renewed embrace of the fixture list of a few seasons ago. You're saying YES to a single lunchtime Saturday game, and a tea-time game too. YES to a single blockbuster Sunday match at 4.00pm and a big Monday night game as well.

But NO to a litany of multiple 12.30pm matches, a raft of Friday late-night matches, and a slew of short-notice re-scheduling.

Why YES? Because the new schedules are causing upset and hardship and is one of the few issues that every fan and their folks agree upon.

We aim to have the matter debated by Parliament as a matter of national interest.
