The Issue

Channel 4 television have come under fire after recently defending a programme they broadcast, entitled "Naked Education".  For those who have never seen it before, it sets children in a classroom-style environment sitting at desks, and "educates" them in what they describe as a "safe way" about the human body.

The problem is that this also includes sitting these kids in front of naked male and female adults, with all the normal parts raw and uncovered, and they literally can't get away from it.   It's also shown at 8PM, before the watershed, and unedited.

Channel 4's Chief Content Officer, Ian Katz, has taken to twitter to defend the programme, stating that "Anyone who suggests that the Channel 4 show Naked Education promotes paedophilia or is abusive of children almost certainly hasn’t watched it."

The problem is, we have.  And from the complaints received by the station, it's clearly not going down well with the general public either.

We, the undersigned, therefore call upon Channel 4 to remove Naked Education from the air, and for Ian Katz to resign his post with the station.  It needs to be made clear to the station, that they have badly misjudged the reception this show would receive, and heads need to roll.

Put it this way; would you be happy with a naked adult going into your children's biology class at school, to educate your kids about their body parts?
