Hello everyone I am a mother of two Lake Hamilton Wolves. Go Wolves!!! One of my little wolves is in Kindergarten at Lake Hamilton Primary School in Pearcy, AR. As we all know graduation is coming up. I'm not sure about everyone else but my little wolf was looking forward to this big day! However I received a message today stating that they will not be holding one due to covid. So I am creating a petition for Lake Hamilton School District to change it. There are still great covid friendly alternatives for them to still hold graduation safely. I have seen other schools do the two options below. If you know of other options that you've seen work well too, let me know.

☆Hold the graduation in the parking lot. One vehicle per student graduating. Attendees must remain seated in their vehicle.

☆Hold the graduation in one of the school buildings. Go live on Facebook/YouTube/ETC. So parents can see and children still get to dress in cap & gown.

I really loved attending my kindergarten graduation, I'd love to see my son graduate kindergarten. He has worked so hard this past year. Our children have had things a bit rough ever since Covid hit the US. If they can travel to Disneyland for spring break then there is no reason the School should be unable to hold a graduation for our children. They deserve this, they have worked hard to get to this point. The mask mandate has been dropped. I've seen people have bigger get togethers and been just fine since covid. If I can attend a live concert with a bunch of strangers from various states, the kids can have a graduation that is viewable by their parents while still social distancing. Please join me by signing the petition. 

Currently LHSD wants to only take pictures of the students wearing a cap & gown(that students before them have worn) and have a little "fun day" at school on May 27, 2021. Parents are not allowed to attend the "fun day." 

Also I've had other parents voice concerns about their kids that graduated kindergarten last year and weren't even offered pictures. They think maybe y'all could offer at least pictures taken of the students.
