Our Job a a flight attendant is not just about offering a service 35,000 feet in the air. We are Inflight First Responders—the eyes and ears of the flight deck. When a passenger becomes ill or there's a medical issue on board, it's us who respond. We are trained, prepared, and ready to act in any emergency. We provide exceptional service, no matter how tired, overwhelmed, or homesick we may feel. Even when we’re not at our best, we continue to show up and give our all. We are just as essential as the pilots. We deserve a fair wage and working conditions. I like to see you work for free, you should be supporting us not against us where is your compassion
Vickie supported: Remove Patty Hajdu from office for incompetence
We, the undersigned, are Canadian citizens, workers, and most importantly, front-line flight attendants of Air Canada. We are calling for the immediate removal of Minister Patty Hajdu from her position due to a lack of action, oversight, and care for the basic rights and well-being of aviation workers in Canada. For over a decade, we have endured deeply unfair working conditions — locked into restrictive contracts that leave us with minimal job security, stagnant wages, and few benefits. During the COVID-19 pandemic, while most Canadians were supported through federal relief programs like CEWS, we were left behind. We continued to work on the front lines, risking our health and safety with no meaningful government protection or financial support. Despite the sacrifices we’ve made, there has been no movement from Minister Hajdu to support fair wages, safe working conditions, or basic labour rights for flight attendants. Our concerns have been ignored. We are now being forced into yet another situation where we are expected to accept unacceptable conditions — dictated by both government inaction and corporate pressure. This is not fair. This is not humane. This is not sustainable. We deserve to be treated with dignity and respect — not as disposable workers in a broken system. Minister Hajdu has failed in her duty to protect Canadian workers and ensure just labour practices in the aviation sector. It is time for new leadership that will take our voices seriously. We respectfully demand that Minister Patty Hajdu be removed from office, and that immediate action be taken to investigate the treatment of Air Canada flight attendants and all aviation workers across the country. Sincerely, Jeonga Lee

As a flight attendant who's 8 years in and still struggling to make ends meet, this was a very shady and unfair move. We have a right to have our voices heard. Put pressure on Air Canada, not us flight attendants
