I live in that neighborhood and fully support this petition. We do need affordable housing in Geneva, but this is not the solution. Center and Jackson Streets are 1.5 lanes at best, and when church is in session, State Street becomes a single-lane-road. Adding 60 apartments to that area would create such a mess. Build houses or townhouses there instead.

Not only will this disturb current hazards that still remain at the site, but they want to rent to low income families who will have kids residing and playing in this
contaminated area. Are they targeting low income renters because...well putting it blatantly...they don't care about the families health and danger living on toxic soil? Don't do this to sociodisadvantaged families.

To know that it is coming to the dalewood community is a hard pill to swallow. It's bad enough that sometimes we get the smell of manure from the farms, but now with the westernly winds, those of us in the community will be getting that waste smell. I see it as a concern to the residents in the area, the school just down the road, and the nature lovers who enjoy camping and walking the nature trails in the area... MOVE IT ELSEWHERE!!!

Living in the Dalewood Subdivision and with the westerly winds, I'm concerned there needs to be the highest responsibility to control odours and noise.

PLEASE DON’T use the proposed land for this facility - the development and construction period alone will harm local wildlife, ecology, and enjoyability in these areas. I was so happy to discover Waterworks Park. It became part of my daily therapy to walk the dog at the park. I can honestly say that beautiful place saved me. It is beyond comprehension that you would build a sewage plant right next door to that haven. The patients that may live out the rest of their lives at the new hospice up the hill deserve to live their days in peace and harmony with their surroundings, not smelling sewage! The families that come to Dalewood Conservation Area to enjoy their much-anticipated summer camping deserve fresh, clean air. The school children running at recess and participating in outdoor sports deserve a healthy environment! And the families in the entire northeast quadrant of the city deserve to enjoy their yards, their properties and their quality of life. You will destroy all of this by building a sewage plant in our backyards. At no point did we receive any notification of this proposal. Trying to push through this development without more frequent, informative updates feels deceitful. It’s a betrayal of a significant portion of this city’s taxpayers who expected more transparency.

We are farmers and have seen this happen in the past (with less or no motivation) .

Poison will cause more harm to the entire ecosystem. Humans are the root cause of wildlife endangerment.
The government and its agencies must understand the entire scope of the issue and find non-lethal ways to preserve and protect these valuable habitats and all the species that live there. Peaceful co-existence can be and must be maintained.
