Concerning the proposed campground:

I have an adjoining property and it will be in the centre of the community and directly behind some residents homes, robbing them of their privacy. That's over 100 acres of campground and would easily hold hundreds of campers. If 250 campers set up there (and there is room for much more then that and nothing stopping this from happening after a zoning change or of the land was sold to someone else) and hold 4 people each thats 1000 people. 1000 people that need water and septic. There is no municipal water and sewer here. There is a grade to the property and all of this would be above residents homes. They will tap into the water table and drain it before it reaches our wells. Septic, grey water and storm run off will contaminate what is left to get to our wells. That will also eventually make it's way to the protected salt water marsh. Smoke from dozens of campfires will prevent us from putting clothes out to dry, and fill our homes with smoke. Litter will blow onto our properties, the noise of drunken campers will be a constant bother. Traffic will increase 100 fold, dogs will crap everywhere and get onto residents properties, trespassing and crime will increase. Property values will decrease. I moved into my home 2 years ago. I would not have even considered this home if a camper park was in the backyard. The property owner did not discuss this with the neighbors, did not ask for our input or show any concern about the impact it would have on us. All surrounding lands are agricultural - farming and livestock. The impact it will have on all residents will be negative.
