Faith lost her life because the staff did not takes the steps when they knew her feeding tube came out, waited for some time before they called her mom, when they should have called emergency services for Faith. While staff called the emergency contact. Faith was neglected because the staff was probably scared. I know that placing children at the school staff is trained by a person that is prior trained to teach others. The schools in the city and county parents always have to fight for the rights of their children. I went through this but not like Faith's family. I had to stay on them constantly. I have 2 kids that are adults with IEP's and kids that are gifted, so it didn't matter what spectrum they were on I was always faces problems with the schools. I had to call the NAACP on Quarles Elm School on the Principal. If they think they school and the school board can get over parents they will. So if parents are a lower class and not educated they will. I have moved way and that was 10 years ago, so my kids and myself didn't have to go through this anymore. Justice for Faith and the future of all kids coming through the doors of EREP and and all the schools in the city and county. Faith your light will shine bright like the North Star. You were the light in folks lifes even the ones you never met. You gave us HOPE! You are the light for other children that are like you or function differently that will come through the doors of the schools and hospital you made your mark and will continue on the torch from HEAVEN! JUSTICE 4 FAITH AND FAMILY. R.I.P
As a mom of a tubie, I’m am so saddened to hear of your situation that you shouldn’t have had to go through. In my experience, schools are not informed as much as they should be, even some hospitals. So so sorry for your unimaginable loss. I hope this brings change
I’ve had issues with FCPS myself for my child who has medical problems. They do not listen, even with medical documentation. FCPS needs to be held accountable for their mistreatment of our children!
First, I want to give my deepest condolences and prayers to Faith’s family. The school board failed her but our community won’t!
Faith for Justice and Justice for Faith!
Below is an email I sent to Frederick County Public School Board, Dianna Klein if anyone wants to use it as a template.
Dear Dianna Klein,
I am writing to express my deep concern and outrage regarding a tragic incident that occurred at Frederick County Public Schools involving Faith Johnson. Despite having a GJ tube for feeding, Faith's tube was forcibly pulled out at the school, leading to devastating consequences.
As you are aware, Faith had an Individualized Education Program (IEP) in place, which included clear instructions from her family regarding her medical needs. It is unacceptable that these instructions were not followed, and the school's negligence directly resulted in Faith's death.
I am extremely troubled by the school's response to this incident, including the lack of immediate accountability, proper medical attention, and transparency. As a parent, it is heartbreaking to think that the school, which is supposed to provide a safe and supportive environment, failed to protect Faith's well-being.
I am reaching out to you regarding the "Justice for Faith Johnson: Demand Accountability from Frederick Public Schools" petition, which has garnered significant community support with 6,537 signatures and counting. This petition highlights the community's concerns and demands for accountability regarding Faith's incident.

I request a thorough investigation into this incident and demand accountability from the school. I also expect the school to take immediate action to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
I would appreciate a response regarding the steps the school will take to address this incident and ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Sincerely,
Kaley Green

I'm extremely sorry to hear about your precious little girl. I hope you find answers and Justice for her. This breaks my heart being a mother of 4 children I couldn't imagine the pain you and your husband is in. School all around needs to do better with children like this they have a right to get the same care as other children. It's sickening to see this happening so close to home.
I worked at NREP for 5 days, it’s all I could do. That place is should be closed and only reopened with all new employees. Not one person in there knows how to deal with the children, I saw first hand how some were treated and how situations were handled.
I am so sorry for your loss and will continue to pray for you and your family💔
I am outraged at the fact that our school systems for special needs children is in the shape that it is. Situations like this child losing her life over teacher negligence prove that teachers in our special needs classes are not qualified to do their job. Trainings clearly have not been regular enough or teachers don’t care enough about student lives. Regardless of what led to this tragedy teachers need to be evaluated and go through trainings regularly to prevent situations like this. To the family of Faith. I hope and pray you get the justice you want and deserve for your daughter and sister. To the teachers. Do better. Take better care of your students. Pay more attention to them.
As a special needs pediatric nurse, this is absolutely horrendous to see. I hope to see all of the staff involved held liable for their actions and future staff to be trained adequately.
Even with the iep's the schools don't always follow them. I had to tell them I was considering to file a OCR complaint to even have anything actually be done.
