When I saw Gonzalo’s live stream from the Ukrainian border as he was trying to get out of the country, I thought my God this can’t be happening! He was so scared it just made me think how brave this man was to be still reporting so we could understand what exactly was going on. Right up to the last second and then he said something to the affect of “If you hear from me again then I made it and if not well I don’t want to think about it”. It made me sick to my stomach. We never heard from him again. President Trump and J D Vance need to see that video! We need to know exactly what happened to this American terrorized in a Ukrainian prison while we supported their dictatorship. Please find out what happened. We deserve to know!

I grew up visiting and helping my baba with her ceramics booth at all the bazaars that were held here. I have wonderful memories of kids playing soccer in the field and the smell of homemade Uki food in the hall. Now more than ever it’s important for Ukrainians and Ukrainian Americans to fight for their culture.
