Tolls represent a contentious topic that impacts transportation infrastructure and funding in many regions worldwide. With the increasing demand for better roads and public transportation, tolls have become a common method to finance these projects. Petitions under this topic often advocate for fair tolling practices, such as reducing costs for low-income individuals or eliminating tolls altogether on certain roads.
One notable petition with thousands of signatures calls for transparency in toll pricing and usage of funds, highlighting concerns about accountability and misuse of toll revenue. Another petition focuses on environmental concerns, urging for toll policies that promote sustainable transportation options and reduce carbon emissions.

As a resident of NYC we are being BULLIED our accounts are depleted! Continuous FEES NJ toll scanners don’t work properly and they’re hitting us with 50.00 penalties for their errors? Taking our cars. Inflation is ENOUGH. Nyc residents cannot get a brake & when they overcharge US they drag their a** to correct it. The AUDACITY OF NY to add congestion pricing for NY residents MTA aught to be shutdown we need better highways trains buses and services PERIOD! Pay us back our money before you begin confiscating vehicles!!! This is Disgusting diabolical behavior!! NYNJ IS A SCAM THIS IS A BILLION DOLLAR CLASS ACTION SUIT IN THE MAKING #Thestreetdoctor
People are being convicted for scams, yet EZ Pass can scam thousands without accountability. They continue to raise toll rates and impose congestion charges, making it increasingly difficult for everyday people to afford travel. Instead of offering solutions or relief, it seems like profit is their only priority, with no regard for fairness. Something needs to change ; this system shouldn’t punish those who are simply trying to get by.
E-ZPass has been a financial burden on my bank account. They have been taking 2-$300 out of my bank account whenever they feel I have a “low balance” in their eyes. I have no control over the money they take out, and my job involves driving on toll roads constantly. I am already living paycheck to paycheck, and I cannot afford this kind of a financial burden. This has even led to my bank account being closed for too many overdrafts mainly due to E-ZPass and their scummy practices. This company is full of criminals, and they deserve to be brought to justice for unethical business practices.
Let's talk about them auto- refilling completely unnecessary amounts- I cannot have $150 just missing from my rent money on any given day. Let's also talk about the $50 + "service fee" they illegally charge people who mistakenly go through the ez pass lane, instead of the simple toll amount. These neighbors of ours are also being scammed by EZ pass, as they are being sent to collections for $2 tolls because EZ pass then hiked on $50 extra dollars to each ran toll, and amounts to hundreds of dollars people cannot pay back!!
I live in Midtown Manhattan and can barely afford to live here as it is. All my my expenses will be going up because of this and I am now forced to move. I wanted to live close to my job but that’s now impossible.
When you live in the zone and have children who play sports on Randall’s Island there’s no choice but to drive there, otherwise you risk your children getting mugged. This is no exaggeration, it actually happened to my child. Congestion pricing to residents is wrong! Congestion pricing for small businesses is wrong! Congestion for the economy of the city is wrong!
I work for the city in the congestion relief zone and now am forced to pay an additional toll, just so I can get to work comfortably? My job does not reasonably allow me to take public transportation.
My wife & I live on Christopher St just off the West side highway , we are living on on social security in our down size apt, my wife had a stroke a little more than 14 yrs ago, relays on me to take her out mostly in a wheelchair but we walk of use the bus to get around NYC, and occasionally we take a ride to visit our grandchildren in Long Island. My car is not parked on the street as we have parking in my building. My wife & I are not contributing to the congestion of the city by making our way home on the west side highway turning onto Christopher St where we then park in our garage just short of Washington St.
The cost of everything is already high and the congestion pricing will make it more costly for no good reason.
My vote is not going to be for any candidate that is pushing for congestion pricing. Enough is Enough!
