Hi, I graduated from HHS in 2015 and as a freshman I took the video production class and thought nothing of it at the time. For all 4 years of high school I took this class and enjoyed every minute of it from the projects and interacting with people. Little did I know at the time, that after graduating I would take an interest in something like this in college. Now I currently work in this field and it all started with the video production class I took 14 years ago.

Tiger TV was the highlight of my mornings and I know many students who loved that class with their whole souls. Though I was never able to take it because it never fit in my schedule, I feel as though it wouldn't be HHS without Tiger TV in the mornings.

I'm a current Junior at HHS looking to go into a major for film in college. Without the video classes, me and many others won't be able to live out their dreams of filming, editing, working on a TV set, and writing scripts. TigerTV was and still is one of the most important programs here at HHS, we can't get rid of it for any reason.

I feel that everyone deserves to find something they are passionate about and I know so many people who loved taking video production and are now pursuing it, that I don't want people in the future to miss out on that chance

As a student, I despise the system for delaying honest students who need to use the restroom and must waste time pulling out their Chromebook or phone to log into 5 Star or whatever it's called. Smoking/vaping is an issue, especially in the boys' bathroom which I think is a problem that should be curtailed. However, I do not think it is right to punish the whole student body in order to stop pa small minority. Furthermore, if students have no desire to learn, it is impossible to force them to do so. You can throw them homework or detention, but you can do nothing to change their attitudes. It's far better to foster a healthy learning environment for those with a real drive to learn. Part of this starts with the bathroom passes and being able to use the bathroom when necessary without the lag time of asking the teacher for a QR code and logging in. It's disruptive and unnecessary.

As a 2022 undergraduate, I did not get a typical graduation ceremony amidst the pandemic. My graduate commencement ceremony for the class of 2025 is incredibly special to me personally and to all students who have all worked hard towards their independent achievements. We each deserve our own respective ceremonies and time in the spotlight.

As a Class of 2021 undergraduate, I missed out on a typical graduation ceremony, and was instead offered a combined graduation the following year, which diminished the individualization of my accomplishments. My Class of 2025 doctoral graduation from Kean deserves to be recognized on an intimate level with other graduate students as Kean typically does. I have worked so hard and made so many sacrifices for this degree — it would be extremely disappointing for Kean to combine my doctoral level graduation with all other undergraduates. I chose Kean for my graduate studies seeking a smaller and more individualized setting compared to my undergraduate school. I urge Kean administration to do the right thing and give graduate students their well-deserved individualized graduation.

As a graduate student. I believe that we deserve our own celebration. Each level of education should be celebrated very differently. I was looking forward to the more intimate setting and this has been disappointing.

I’ve watched my sister for YEARS work so hard to achieve her goals and now she is finally at the finish line. Nothing should stand in her way at this point and there is no reason she should have less than any other graduating year.

As someone who deeply cares about modernizing education in our digital age, I strongly support this petition to update Clinton High School's technology policies and email domain system. Having seen similar issues in schools across the country, I believe addressing these technology restrictions is crucial for student success in today's world. Students everywhere need access to relevant educational resources and tools to stay competitive and prepare for their futures. Overly restrictive technology policies can hinder research capabilities and limit access to valuable learning materials that are essential for modern education. When schools block too many legitimate educational websites and applications, it creates unnecessary barriers to learning and collaboration. The email domain issue is particularly concerning, as it can prevent students from fully participating in educational opportunities. Many academic platforms and programs require school email verification, and outdated or non-standard email domains can create unnecessary complications for students trying to access these resources. While online safety is important, many schools have successfully found ways to protect students while providing appropriate access to digital resources. A balanced approach to technology access has become standard practice in modern education. I encourage Clinton High School's administration to consider: 1. Updating the website filtering system to better align with current educational needs 2. Modernizing the school email domain 3. Implementing technology policies that protect students while supporting their educational goals Thank you for considering these important changes that could significantly improve the educational experience for Clinton High School students.
