Yes! Please install pickle ball lines in the hockey rink at Alexandra Park and more courts too. Playing pickle ball has helped me emotionally with my father’s transitioning, mentally to be focused, physically to be active and socially to be with other people! Thank you for more courts and pickle ball lines in the park!

As a former student who last used this gym in 1992, I can attest that many of these safety concerns have existed for decades—and they have only worsened over time. The current condition of the gymnasium not only undermines the quality of physical education but also greatly restricts our ability to offer extracurricular programs and host school-wide events. This denies students essential opportunities for physical health, social connection, and school engagement. Allowing these issues to persist—such as poor air quality, unsafe flooring, malfunctioning infrastructure, and a lack of adequate space—presents serious liability concerns for the division. Ignoring known hazards increases the risk of injury and potential legal consequences, while continuing to impact student and staff well-being. Building a new, safe, and functional gym is no longer a matter of convenience—it is a critical investment in student safety, equity, and the long-term integrity of our school community.

A community skating rink that isn't allowing the community to use it. This is now a hockey rink taken over by hockey players coming from outside of the community. Zero consultation with the community. Prime time for skating on weekends are now hockey lessons.

We live in Portland, Oregon and after our local indoor bike park closed several years ago, we discovered North Shore while visiting friends in Vancouver. Our son loves it, and spends as much time as he can in the bikepark when we visit. It is such a positive, welcoming and well run organization and it would be a loss to the Vancouver's recreation options to lose it permanently. Please support finding a replacement location for this great park!

My son absolutely love this very unique park. We live in California and we found this gem during our summer visit. My son begged to go everyday we were in Vancouver and I of course said yes because he was so happy! He still begs to go back all the time. Forget Disneyland, this is the happiest place on earth for my son! I wish we had this park and community here in CA. I hope you can find a way to keep this amazing park to stay.

I frequently visit Vancouver to ride the trails and spend money at local establishments. I am disappointed at the recent actions taken by the municipality and the land managers. It’s a shame that they would even dream of creating barriers to block access to trails that are used and loved by so many. I will definitely be taking my tourism dollars elsewhere if these barriers are created.

I am a yearly visitor to Vancouver for the trails discussed in this petition and based on the recent action by the municipality, will be taking my tourism dollars elsewhere and recommending to my biking community here in SLC to do the same until it is shown by the land managers that they are willing to actually work with the local biking community.
