This is aimed directly at Supercars and it needs to be said.
Don’t insult the intelligence of the people who’ve supported this sport for decades.
I wasn’t even a “Supercars fan” in the modern sense to begin with. My journey started over five decades ago watching Bathurst. That’s where the connection was forged long before marketing strategies and broadcast shake-ups.
My real passion kicked in later while living in Townsville, watching three rounds in a row. That’s when it hit me just how much this sport matters when it’s presented by people who actually understand it.
Neil Crompton isn’t just a voice he’s credibility.
He’s raced it, lived it, and earned the right to speak on it. You don’t replace that with hype, volume, or corporate “direction” and pretend it’s progress.
And don’t tell passionate viewers what we do or don’t want.
We know exactly what we’re hearing and we know when something real is being taken away.
Dropping Neil Crompton would be a clear message that history, experience, and loyal fans come second.
That’s not evolution that’s arrogance.
Keep Neil Crompton.
Ignore this at your own risk.
One of the worst refereeing decisions in State of Origin history. Ashley Klein’s decision to send Kalyn Ponga off completely changed the game and handed the advantage to NSW. Similar incidents happen regularly in the NRL and often result in nothing more than a penalty rarely a send-off.
That decision left Queensland with almost no chance of winning and completely ruined the contest for me. Considering Ashley Klein is from western Sydney, it’s hard not to question whether he can officiate Origin games fairly and impartially. In my opinion, he should not referee another State of Origin match again.
The Broncos, Cowboys, and Dolphins are consistently among the most penalised teams in the NRL, and combined with Klein’s performance last night, it raises serious concerns about an anti-Queensland bias within the game. If the NRL continues down this path without holding referees accountable for poor decisions, it risks losing the trust of fans like myself because the competition no longer feels fair.
One of the worst decisions in the history of state of origin. His decision to send Ponga off single handedly gave the game to the NSW side. These sorts of incidents happen a lot in the NRL and some of them only result in a penalty, never a send off. The decision ultimately gave QLD no chance to win the game and completely ruined the game for me. Ashley Klein is born and raised in western Sydney and clearly lacks the ability to be fair and impartial. He should never be allowed to officiate SOO ever again. The three most penalized teams in the NRL are the Broncos, the Cowboys and the Dolphins. This along with Klein's performance last night shows there is an anti-Queensland agenda in the NRL and if the NRL continues down this path I will no longer watch the game as it is not a fair competition. The NRL must act and hold these refs accountable for their actions otherwise they are just as bias.
As a farmer, having appropriate access firearms is part of the job for timely and humane euthanasia of livestock. We have effective legislation here in Australia, evidenced by our solid track record of very few firearms related offences at scale. Instead of implementing rash changes to our legislation, we need to look at how we make existing laws and processes more effective, and also support those working in weapons licensing to have ample time to properly review and cross-check applications, while not unduly holding up the process for applicants. Any changes to legislation should be pragmatic, evidence-based, and designed to limit risk of criminal activity while not adversely affecting responsible firearms owners.
It astounds me that once again a demand to move a harmless native Australian animal living in Australian bushland so someone can ride around on an introduced species for fun gets to a point where a petition is even needed?
Although horses are allowed in there is surely if a horse is so skittish an emu scares it then riding in a popular mountain biking network isn’t where you should be in the first place .
