The positive impact Coach has made on mine and countless other young mens lives is endless. What he has done for the community and families in and around Wantagh should not be overlooked. Coach Cuiffo to me represents Integrity, Pride and a sense of community. He urged us and helped prepare us to get and and conquer the world, but to not forget where you came from. #22 FOR LIFE.
It’s a sad day for the Wantagh community that such a caring professional is being let go after 42 years of dedicated service to its children and their families. Mr. Cuiffo has made such a positive impact on so many and the ones he won’t get to coach anymore are the ones who will miss out. Educational leaders should recognize such special people instead of finding ways to let them go.
I played lacrosse for Coach John Cuiffo during numerous summer tournaments growing up and he was an integral part of my success and growth both as a player and a person. He is the first person to offer congratulations, advice and laughter no matter the situation. What a disservice this would be to the Wantagh community. I wish my kids one day are able to play for a coach like him, we love you coach!
I was so fortunate to have Coach Cuiffo his first year as a Lacrosse Coach in 7th grade and all the way through to my Senior year. I also played JV Soccer for him. His love for Lacrosse was passed on to me and on to so many that were coached by him over the years. The Wantagh Community will be losing such an incredible Coach and Mentor if he is not Reinstated. I can not believe that in the Town I was born and raised would do this to someone has given so selflesslee for 42 plus years to the Wantagh Community.
Mr. Cuiffo is a true gentleman and great educator! He was the Gym teacher for all three of my children at Wantagh Mandalay elementary school. I'm sure his passion he put into teaching was also carried out into his coaching! It would be a shame to see him let go. He is a pillar in the Wantagh community!
John “Cuiffo” Cuiffo is an important human and there are hundreds of lives positively impacted by him being a coach. Many who have became coaches BECAUSE of him.
John has done so much for 11793. As an active board member of WALA - (Wantagh Lacrosse Alumni Association) as well as the Class of 2001 - there needs to be some respect shown while also surfacing some hidden agendas by the AD.
I played varsity lacrosse for Cuiffo from 1989-1992. He helped me in many ways on and off the field throughout my life. Anytime tragedy struck me or my family you can guarantee I received a phone call from John Cuiffo. Over 40 years later we still talk regularly. This man should be given a lifetime achievement award from Wantagh Schools. Lacrosse is his passion. Let him continue to share it with our youth.
SEPTA is important for transit. Whether it's to see the Eagles crush a team, a Dr appointment, or going out to dinner, a lot of people depend on this to get where they're going. Many people do not have cars. How are they supposed to contribute to the economy if they can't go very far from their home?
SEPTA is a crucial system in the Philadelphia area. It helps people get to jobs, doctor’s appointments, and special events. I take SEPTA to get to and from center city to avoid driving and paying the expensive parking fees. With a 9 PM curfew, I won’t have the option to get home via SEPTA if I’m downtown late night.
Also, people who can’t afford Uber and Lyft won’t have the option to take SEPTA late nights after coming home from working second shift jobs.

*Something* has needed to happen with the stadium for years. It's not in good condition and is not fully able to serve its purpose to the community and students. Partnering with NSWL will revitalize this useful resource for the community, and support women's pro sports which seems like a double win to me!
