I just started off a couple days ago, and ive been timid to start skating for awhile now. And I was even more afraid that I couldnt go to a skatepark with the fear I might be embrassed. But the community here has been nothing but accepting and helpful. Ive skated for about 7 or 8 days, and I already feel moderately comfortable with the board. I think if we can get this park official. I feel not only the Biloxi's skating communuty could be stronger, but Biloxi's community as a whole.
Please support my young cousin and his friends and family in bringing a skate park to the Hummelstown community. Kids need healthy activities and safe gathering places now more than ever, and with your help these kids can see their dreams come true through hard work, advocacy, and dedication.
Thank you!
The Gainesville skatepark was cool when I lived there, but going back to it this past month showed me how small it actually is compared to skateparks here in Houston, the skatepark is almost like a second home to some of these kids and it needs some updates and repairs.
This is my favorite park however it needs love! The park technically was never completed. Only phase 1 was finished. The least the city can do is give it some lights so that our skaters with 9-7 jobs can skate in the evenings. The darkness at night attracts a less than desirable crowd to the area. That would change immediately
I’ve been a life long skateboarder at the OG park! It has bowls and something for everyone. The new design doesn’t have the diversity it needs so keeping the old park and putting the new one next to it would bee the best decision and more space for our community to have something fun to do
Help us save this unique amazing skatepark that serves our community so much better than the small proposed design would. Please let us keep this skatepark and build the new smaller skatepark as an addition for the ever growing skate community in Nevada County 🙏❤️
Skateparks build a sense of community in kids and teens. They learn to push each other to do better and the older groups teach the younger one. It's a beautiful place for kids to grow. Kids and even older skaters here in Conway need accessibility of a local park. I take my son when I can because travel to the only park I know of is 30 to 60 minutes away depending on traffic.
I moved this area 21 years ago and struggled finding safe and legal places to skate besides Myrtle Beach Beach. A Skate Park in Conway would also attract a positive influence on the youth. Action sports are just as physically healthy and character building as other traditional sports. I’m really glad to be apart of this idea and support it 100%.
